The NG-CDF Board environmental sustainability guidelines have been prepared in line with chapter 5 of the constitution of Kenya and the environmental management and coordination act (EMCA) OF 1999.

Environmental sustainability refers to concerted efforts put in place to mitigate against environmental degradation. Therefore NG CDF required to ensure sustainable exploitation, utilization, management and conservation of the environment and natural resources through development of strategic goals directed towards achievement of the constitutional environmental objectives.

FY 2018/2019 Taveta NG-CDF Constructed 2 pit latrine and purchase of tree seedlings at Sowene secondary amounting to Kshs 1,350,000 , purchase of tree seedlings at Kiwalwa secondary school amounting to Kshs 50,000 , Purchase of tree seedlings Taveta Primary School amounting to Kshs 50,000 , Purchase of tree seedlings at Timbila Primary school.

FY 2019/2020 Purchase of 1000 tree seedlings at Bishop Njenga amounting to Kshs 50,000

Purchase of 600 tree seedlings at Taveta Deputy County Commissioner official residence amounting to Kshs 50,000.

Taveta NG-CDF FY 2019/2020 issued sports kits to several teams across the constituency like Njoro Fc Gicheha Fc Kitoghoto Fc, Red Star Fc Mwangaa Fc, Taveta Queens Fc, Malukiloriti Fc, Mata Queens Fc, Kibo Queens Fc, and Taveta Sisal Queens Fc.

The amount allocated to sports was Kshs 2,500,000
